It was quite a long time I did not have any jungle trekking since my last Gunung Kutu in June. Our mount climbing expert friend has recommended to us a new trail to Gunung Nuang . It was not the trail via Hulu Langat, the trail is somewhere near the Mc Donald at Bukit Tinggi, as what our friend said
. So, 6 of us decided to venture into this trail on 16 August 2009.
As usual, we departed from Puchong at about 7am, after breakfast, we headed to our destination.

The air is so fresh in the morning with less cars on the road.

Arriving Janda Baik or A Good Widow in English.

Welcome to Kampung Janda Baik

Passed by Kg. Cheringin

Road leading to the trail entrance.

Isn’t this beautiful and tranquil ?

After the first river, we have to walk about 20 minutes before seeing the jungle trail.

I am learning how to take such a beautiful moment.

Wow…. so many durians. Can I get them for free here ?

Our jungle expert is leading the way.

Sometimes we need to take a break in our life and start enjoying the little tiny yet pretty things around us.

We have to bend down to walk across these bamboo trees.

Be careful friend, the trail is very slippery.

Guys are resting at the 2nd river.

A waterfall that can be seen not far from the river.

Looks like you guys are enjoying the nature but let’s move on, we can come back later.

This little leech was having a great lunch. Guess who was the contributor ? None other than me……

I guess it’s the environment that make this Millipede become so huge.

A Fungus is found.

This is the hardest part before we can reach the summit.

Finally, we reached the summit at about 12.30pm. But not me, I arrived 15 minutes later as my health condition was going down hill. It was tough for me as I have to walk about 3 hours but my friends said this trail is easier than the Hulu Langat trail. Well, proof that something is wrong with me. Never mind, hungry like a woof, let’s have our nasi lemak lunch first.

Not only lunch, we have our nice green tea as well.

Another view at the same place.

Our friend is feeding a little cute squirrel.

Although first time joining us but this guy is tough, he had conquered Gunung Tahan before. So, I guess this trail is peanut for him.

Let’s have a group photo at the peak of Gunung Nuang at 1493 meter (4898 ft).

Anyone can tell me what kind of plant is this ?

About 3.00pm, our friends already there to enjoy the waterfall, but again, not me. I arrived 30 minutes later.

Can’t describe how beautiful is this waterfall.

You can have a swim at this crystal clear water here but prepare to feel the cool water.

Water has no complains when it faces obstacles, it just moves on as it is. In life, I think we should learn from the water, accept the challenges, take courage and face them.

The strongest always stand out from others !

Are these bird nests natural or hung by human ?

After a hard work, it’s time to reward ourselves with durians.

Must be very delicious huh, friend ?

We have coconut also, not bad huh ?

Here is our aborigine friend who was kind enough to climb the coconut tree and opened them for us also.

See how our “Ghost King” friend drink the coconut, then needless to say, it must be delicious. We only pay RM15 to enjoy all these great food and drinks, isn’t it cheap ?

Very nice pics…. will be attempting this route coming sunday. Would like to know u guyz since I’m staying around Puchong too…… Anyone game for Angsi on 7th Feb??
