Nature Is Without Rewards Or Punishments But Only Consequences
A Buddha was walking on the road, he met a man who does not like him.
For the past few days, along the way, the man used every means to humiliate the Buddha.
Finally, the Buddha turned to the man and asked him : “If someone gives you a gift, but you refuse to accept, then this gift will eventually belong to whom?”
The man replied: “belongs to that person who gave the gift.”
Buddha smiled and said: “Yes. If I do not accept your verbal abuse, then you are condemning yourself. ”
The man kept quiet for a while and then left.
Wisdom:
As long as we posses a peaceful mind, whatever people does will not affect us.
In contrast, if we simply care about what others say or what they do, then we will loss our self-autonomy, let others control us.
