Endau Rompin Trip

It was my great plessure to have an enjoyable trip to Endau Rompin with a group of friends. We daparted at mid night and drove about 3 hours using Plus Highway and exit at Ayer Hitam, the distance from Sg Besi to Ayer Hitam is about 232km and the distance from Ayer Hitam toll to Kahang is about 55km. As it was almost dawn, there were mists along the way from Kluang to Kahang, we have to drive very carefully. Finally, we arrived Kahang at about 6am.

Friends are having great time for their breakfast, although it is too early to have it.

Make sure the tank is full before you start driving through the palm oil estate as the journey takes about 2 hours (for a normal driving skill like us).

Road leading to Rompin jungle

This is the most exciting part.

Going down slowly…..

Just pray that those woods do not broke.

Being brief by park’s officer

Group photo taken at the jetty before heading to Jasin.

Top view of the jetty.

Ready for a board ride ?

This is the first campsite in Kuala Jasin, about 10 min walk from the Jasin jetty.

Crossing this hang over bridge isn’t easy if you lost your balance !

Campsite at Kuala Marong, clean and with ready made toilet.

Buaya Sangkut is our final destination. It takes about 4 hours to trek to the summit.

Be prepared to face your little “friends” along the trek especially during raining season.

A clean and cool water for you to enjoy.

You can see this while on your way to Batu Hampar.

After about an hour walked, we arrived at Batu Hampar Campsite

The entrance to Buaya Sangkut.

This is
just a beginning.

Take a rest to enjoy the crystal clear water.

Not forgetting to take some pictures.

2 km more to go…….

The final challenging slope.

Don’t give up, we are almost there !

Going down has to be slow and steady.

At last, after hard work, we finally arrive.

At the top of the Buaya Sangkut, seems not much of enjoyment but wait…..

This is the greatest part to compensate our 3.5 hours trekking.

Another beautiful view at Buaya Sangkut

A morning view taken near our campsite.

“Kelah” fishses enjoying their live here. According to a friend, the price of this fish can fetch to RM200 or more for 1Kg. It’s glad that fishing is banned here so that we can enjoy seeing these fishes.

Crystal clear water surrounded by the tranquility

A place where we wait for our boat back to Rompin Office.
